Kid Spark Education STEM Equity Grants Initiative
Apply today to team up with Kid Spark and bring STEM education to your school.
Bringing Equity to STEM Education
Every student, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to embrace and excel in STEM education.
The Kid Spark STEM Equity Grants Initiative facilitates this by offering schools and afterschool programs that serve a high number of Title 1 students a complete STEM program, including everything they need to implement STEM learning in the classroom—free of charge. By applying for a grant, you can take the first step toward giving your students the opportunity to foster a genuine passion for STEM.
what’s included
STEM Equity Grant
The grant offers a Kid Spark Elementary STEM program, which includes:
Comprehensive Curriculum
A progressive, engineering and computer science-based curriculum that includes teacher lesson plans, student workbooks, design challenges, evaluation rubrics, and unit assessments.
STEM Labs
Kid Spark’s robust and reusable engineering and robotics materials support students as they grow in their learning.
Professional Learning
Professional development and certification courses hosted through Kid Spark’s online learning management system.
Grant Eligibility
Eligible applicants for this program include U.S. Public Head Start, preschool, elementary, middle, and non-profit after-school or summer schools serving a high percentage of Title 1 students from Pre-K through grade 8. Priority is given to schools with a high percentage of underserved and underrepresented students.
Should a school not be selected for a complete grant award, we have resources available and tailored to aid in crafting proposals for diverse national and local grant opportunities that align with each organization's objectives.
Eligible schools also have the option to seek a grant discount. This opportunity guarantees that schools can access cost-savings benefits, even if they don't secure a fully funded Kid Spark STEM Equity Grant.
